Current Electric is an owner-operated electrical contractor in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This page explains what happens to the information you send us through this website.
The short version: the only information we collect is what you type into the contact form, we use it to get back to you about your job, and we do not sell it.
1. What we collect
We collect only what you enter into the contact form:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you choose to enter one. That field is optional.
- Whatever you tell us about the work you need
You do not need an account to use this site. We do not ask for payment information here, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
2. How we use it
We use what you send us to:
- Call or text you back about your inquiry
- Ask follow-up questions about the job
- Schedule and complete the work
- Keep ordinary business records of jobs we have quoted or completed
That is the entire list.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not rent or trade it, or hand it to anyone else for their own marketing.
- We do not add you to a mailing list or a newsletter.
- We do not track you across other websites.
4. Other companies involved
This website runs on a few outside services. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy.
- Formspree delivers the contact form. When you hit send, Formspree receives what you typed and forwards it to us by email.
- Netlify hosts the site. Like any web host, its servers keep standard logs that can include your IP address and browser type.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface on this page, so your browser requests a font file from Google when the page loads.
We do not control what those companies collect on their own. Their policies are published on their own websites.
5. How long we keep it
Your inquiry reaches us as an email and stays in our records as long as it is useful for serving you and keeping normal business records. We do not maintain a separate database of site visitors.
6. Your choices
If you would rather not submit anything online, call us instead. The form is a convenience, not a requirement.
If you have already contacted us, you can ask us to tell you what we have on file for you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Call or text and we will take care of it.
7. Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted while it travels to us. We take reasonable steps to protect the inquiries we receive. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to claim otherwise.
8. Children
This site is meant for people hiring an electrician. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, call us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
